Accra, April 5, GNA- Christians across Ghana are celebrating the resurrection of Christ on Sunday, also know as Easter Sunday,

Several activities will take place to climax the passion of Christ, which forms the foundation of Christian theology.

Easter Sunday commemorates the third day of the death of Christ and his resurrection.

In many parts of the country, worshippers are expected to attend special church services clad in white to.portray a narrative of victory with processions through principal streets, singing of hymns and praises.

Children and youth groups, often accompanied by brass bands, usually lead such processions, re-enacting the biblical event and drawing public attention to the significance of the day.

The common themes pinned to most liturgies will be salvation, forgiveness and everlasting living.

During services, the idea of forgiveness as a condition.for salvation will be reinforced as the foundation of the Christian faith.

The observance also reflects themes of humility and peace, hope and completion drawn from the biblical account of Jesus.

In Ghana, the day remains a key event on the Christian calendar, bringing together congregants of various denominations in shared expressions of worship.

Christians are expected to climax activities on Monday with prayer sessions, parties reflections, leading to the renewal of hope and faith

On the Kwahu Mountains of the Eastern Region, where the indigenes return to their traditional festivities, many Ghanaians will be doing the climb for fun and business.

The government has also been drawn to the unique celebration and networking that take place annually as it convenes a business forum to harness the potential of the business minded locals and strangers alike for national development.
