THE Zimbabwean football family has plunged into mourning following the passing away of former Tel One FC defender Frankson Bushiri in a car accident this Sunday morning.

Bushiri was involved in accident near Gweru, just after Regina Mundi School after he lost control of his vehicle, resulting in it veering off road and hitting a tree.

According to an eyewitness, Bushiri was fleeing after side-swiping another vehicle on the road.

Funeral proceedings of the late football player are yet to be confirmed.

Bushiri had a lengthy career which saw him playing for several teams in topflight league, including Shabanie Mine, Buffaloes, Sheasham and Chapungu FC.
