Maya Jama shared a string of sizzling bikini snaps to Instagram on Sunday while holed up at her South African villa, after bosses were forced to delay the new series of Love Island: All Stars due to devastating wildfires.

The TV presenter, 31, looked incredible in a brown halterneck bikini as she posed up a storm while sunbathing in her villa.

Maya soaked up the sun while sitting poolside, as like many of this year’s Love Island stars, she waited for the all-clear to begin filming for the new series.

Hinting that like many fans she was impatiently waiting for the series to kick off, Maya captioned her post with a clock emoji.

On Sunday, it was reported that filming for Love Island: All Stars had to be postponed again due to the wildfires in South Africa.

On Saturday, just days ahead of the launch on Monday, ITV confirmed that the first episode had been cancelled after wildfires caused a road closure near the villa.

The new series, which features returning contestants seeking another chance at love, was scheduled to begin filming this weekend.

The Sun now reports that filming has been pushed back indefinitely after local reports revealed that emergency workers battled through the night again to bring the situation under control in the Wemmershoek area.

A source told the publication: ‘Bosses have no choice but to wait for the area to be deemed completely safe.

‘The desire is to be back as soon as possible, but risk and health and safety assessments are still ongoing.’

The Daily Mail contacted ITV for comment on the matter earlier this week.

A statement from ITV on Saturday read: ‘Further to a production evacuation owing to ongoing wildfires in the area, our assessment of the location site has concluded that filming will need to be postponed.

‘Health and safety is our greatest priority and will always come first, and therefore the transmission of Love Island: All Stars will be delayed until a date to be confirmed.’

Multiple wildfires have been burning across the Western and Eastern Cape due to high temperatures, shifting winds and prolonged dry conditions.

On Saturday, just days ahead of the launch on Monday, ITV confirmed that the first episode had been cancelled after wildfires caused a road closure near the villa

Residents of Zwartenbosch, Oyster Bay Road, the Kromme River, and Riverside areas in the Eastern Cape were evacuated, while fires also broke out in Mossel Bay in the Western Cape.

The Love Island villa is situated on the Ludus Magnus Estate, approximately an hour’s drive from Cape Town in the Western Cape.

Earlier on Saturday, it was revealed that the villa had been evacuated as a precaution and the launch episode had to be postponed.

Producers were said to be ‘scrambling’ to ensure the launch episode could still run smoothly, but it has now been confirmed that Monday’s episode is cancelled.
