Martha Mukisa, a Ugandan singer, has revealed that her pregnancy was not short of challenges, but praying to God gave her the courage to carry through, and she had a quick and painless labour.

Martha Mukisa gave birth in May 2025 to a beautiful daughter, her first child with her lover, and her journey as a mom is filled with pride.
Speaking on the Xtra Lounge podcast, the singer noted that at the time she got the news of her pregnancy, she was planning ahead for her career, and breaking the news to her management team was a big challenge.
She reveals that pregnancy also gave her a lot of questions, including what type of mother she would become and how she would maneuver through the pregnancy period.
She, however, trusted God and prayed for a painless pregnancy, a prayer God answered. She urges fellow females to always have faith in God and pray to him during pregnancy.
I had plans with my team, then I got the news of my pregnancy. It was a challenge figuring out how to tell the team. There are a lot of questions you ask yourself: how do you maneuver pregnancy, how will things go on, am I ready, will I be a good mother?
But God gives you the courage, you give yourself grace, and things unfold seamlessly. I had the most painless labour. I tell people that I don’t know the feeling. I asked God, I prayed, and asked Him to take the pain away, and it was quick and painless.
