On January 9th, Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Sergei Aleinik has met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Republic of Belarus Ignatius Graham Mudzimba, sb.by reports with reference to the Telegram channel of the Council of the Republic at Belarus’ National Assembly

Mr. Aleinik and Mr. Mudzimba noted the high dynamics of bilateral Belarusian-Zimbabwean co-operation. They confirmed their commitment to further deepening liaisons, taking into account the significant political contacts that have developed due to the good friendly relations between the leaders of the two countries and the high-level visits that have taken place.


The two sides discussed the prospects for the development of the inter-parliamentary dialogue between Belarus and Zimbabwe in building mutually beneficial co-operation and implementing joint projects in the agricultural sector, as well as in the fields of education and healthcare, in developing interregional ties and organising interaction between the two countries’ women’s organisations. The Senator and the Ambassador also agreed to continue working together on the issues discussed through parliamentary and diplomatic channels.
