King Charles celebrated in Uganda as environmental legacy takes center stage

King Charles’s 77th birthday has been celebrated at the British High Commission in Uganda.

The event, which was held at the residence of High Commissioner Lisa Chesney MBE, was attended by ministers of the Ugandan government, business figures, supporters of the UK and diplomatic representatives.

Along with the celebration of Charles’ milestone birthday, the strengthening ties between the two countries were also highlighted at the event.

Moreover, the occasion also drew attention to Uganda and the UK’s efforts for climate action and praised the King’s contribution for the cause.

The High Commissioner took a moment to praise Charles for the prominent role he played in environmental causes.

“His Majesty King Charles III has long championed the protection of our planet, earning recognition for his unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, biodiversity, and climate action,” Lisa Chesney, via GB News.

“As we celebrate his 77th birthday, we also celebrate a shared vision with Uganda of a greener, more sustainable future for all,” she added.

It is pertinent to mention that King Charles turned 77 on November 14.
