Namibia has announced its 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. All-rounder Gerhard Erasmus will captain the side as Namibia prepares for its fourth consecutive appearance at the tournament.
The squad retains much of its core from the 2024 edition, with nine players returning. New additions including Nicol Loftie-Eaton, Louren Steenkamp, JC Balt, WP Myburgh, and Max Heingo aim to strengthen the team and help Namibia surpass their previous best performance of reaching the Super 12 stage in 2021.
Namibia qualified for the T20 World Cup after an impressive performance in the Africa Qualifier held in Harare. The team remained unbeaten in the group stage and secured a commanding semi-final win over Tanzania to book their place in the mega event.
The T20 World Cup 2026 will start on 7 February, with the opening match between Pakistan and the Netherlands. Namibia has been placed in Group A alongside India, Pakistan, the Netherlands, and the USA. The team will begin its campaign against the Netherlands on 10 February in Delhi.
