Rabat – The Moroccan national team has announced its starting lineup for today’s round of 16 match against Tanzania in the Africa Cup of Nations 2025.
The game kicks off at 5 p.m. (GMT+1) at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with the Atlas Lions wearing their traditional red kit.

Coach Walid Regragui has opted for a strong and balanced 11, featuring Yassine Bounou in goal and a defensive line of Achraf Hakimi (captain), Noussair Mazraoui, Adam Masina, and Nayef Aguerd. In midfield, Ismael Saibari, Bilal El Khannouss, and Nassim El Aynaoui will look to control the tempo and link play.
The attacking trio includes Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, Brahim Diaz, and striker Ayoub El Kaabi, who will lead the line in search of goals.
Notably absent from the squad is Azzedine Ounahi, who was ruled out after suffering a leg injury. He was seen on crutches earlier in the day, and his absence is a blow to Morocco’s midfield depth.
Morocco enter the match with high expectations, aiming to reach the quarterfinals and continue their quest for a continental title that has eluded them since 1976.
