voter rich Mt. Kenya region.

They include, Githunguri MP Gathoni wa Muchomba, former Nyeri town MP Ngunjiri
Wambugu and Maragwa legislator Mary Wamaua among others.

Nyeri governor Mutahi Kahiga has recently been sending mixed signals. His
recent attendance of a UDA grassroots leaders’ meeting at the Sagana tate loLdge
Nyeri, left his supporters jittery on his alliegance.

President Ruto and his deputy Kithure kindiki have combined a charm offensive
in the Mt. Kenya region, turning the tide in the fight for the soul of the
populous region ahead of the 2027 polls.
