The future home of Nazret Market #4 on Seminary Road.
An Ethiopian food shop called Nazret Market #4 is expected to open in Bailey’s Crossroads next month, says owner Aftataw (Mamush) Muluneh.
The shop, at 5810 Seminary Road, will offer spices, meat, grains, and other items imported from Ethiopia.
Nazret Market #4 is located in an 8,320-square-foot building that was formerly occupied by Embassy 110 220 Volt.
Muluneh also owns the Nazret Ethiopian Restaurant at 3821-D S. George Mason Drive in the Skyline area, Nazret Baltina House of Spices in the same retail strip, the Nazret Market in Silver Spring, and the Nazret Market on S. Pickett Street in Alexandria.
The Alexandria location is being expanded. It will sell fresh produce and kitchen equipment, as well as Ethiopian food. It’s affiliated with another new business to open this spring – a shared-use commissary kitchen providing cooking space for caterers and start-ups.
