Western Cape police are offering a cash reward of up to R100 000 per case for information that could help detectives arrest and secure the conviction of suspects linked to multiple murders in Gugulethu, Langa and Lingelethu West.
Eleven people were killed in three separate shootings on August 8 and 9.
On August 9, three people were shot and fatally wounded in the Barcelona Informal Settlement in Gugulethu. Five people were also shot in Winnie Mandela Street in Langa.
A day earlier, three people were shot and killed in TR Block in Lingelethu West.
Police said Serious Violent Crime detectives had followed up all leads in their efforts to arrest those responsible, but with no success.
“Serious Violent Crime detectives have exhausted all avenues and have followed up on all available leads in efforts to arrest those responsible for these shootings without success”, police said.
The Provincial Serious Violent Crime Unit is offering up to R100 000 for each case for information that can assist investigators in the arrest and conviction of suspects.
Police are now appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist with the investigations to come forward.
