Somalia, 5 January 2026 Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is set to visit Kenya on Tuesday, according to sources, amid heightened regional diplomacy.
The meeting comes on the heels of a cancelled trilateral meeting with Kenyan President William Ruto and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, highlighting the complex dynamics at play in the Horn of Africa.
The trilateral meeting aimed at discussing key regional issues, was reportedly postponed following Israel’s recognition of Somaliland.
