Devastating attacks in central and northern Nigeria have resulted in the deaths of nearly 200 people, law enforcement and local sources confirmed on Wednesday.
In Kwara state, gunmen assaulted Woro community, leaving at least 170 dead. Residents were rounded up, bound, and executed, confirmed area lawmaker Saidu Baba Ahmed.
In a separate incident, at least 21 people were killed in northern Katsina state amid broken peace efforts with armed gangs. These brutal assaults underscore the precarious security situation in Nigeria’s remote regions.
