
Detectives are investigating a robbery in Kehancha, Kuria, Migori County, in which a man and his daughter were shot and injured.

Police reported that the attackers took three mobile phones used for Mpesa transactions before fleeing the scene. It is not yet clear how much money was stored on the devices.
Authorities suspect the suspects may have followed the victims from their shop to their home.
A team of detectives revisited the scene on Sunday and Monday and recovered spent cartridges believed to be from an AK-47 rifle.

Police said the suspect, identified as Peter Olwenye, fled the scene following the incident. It is under investigation whether the suspect was under the influence of any substances at the time.
The body has been moved to a mortuary pending autopsy and further procedures, while police continue to search for the suspect.
