The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Bolakale Mogaji, has pledged to replicate sports development of Morocco in the State.
Mogaji dropped this hint while speaking with Newsmen on his trip to Morocco, where he witnessed the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
He said his trip to Morocco in company with some other staff of the commission was an eyeopener as the country is blessed with fantastic football pitches. Mogaji pointed out that every city in Morocco has football pitches to grow grassroots football.

The Executive Chairman assured that Kwara State is going to emulate Morocco particularly in computerised ticking system, where tickets will correspond with stadium seats during Kwara United home matches.
The Sport Juggernaut noted that work is in top gear to refurbish the stadia across the three Senatorial Districts of the state to rejuvenate grassroots sports.
Mogaji said that the athletes that won medals for the state in last year’s National Sports Festival in Ogun State and National Youth Games in Delta, were harvested from the grassroots in the state.
According to him, the Commission is working with the Kwara State Ministry of Education in breathing life to secondary school sports to harness potentials at the school levels.
He enumerated efforts of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to the resuscitation of Kwara United after relegation and vowed to continue to strengthen the club to attain enviable heights in Africa and globally.
The Executive Chairman advocated the involvement of corporate bodies and individuals to develop grassroots sports and thanked Governor Abdulrazaq for sponsoring a lot of sport enthusiasts to Morocco to support Super Eagles.
Mogaji also commended Governor Abdulrazaq’s commitment towards uplifting sports in the state.
