WINDHOEK: Cricket Namibia on Saturday announced its 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.

Experienced all-rounder Gerhard Erasmus will continue to lead the Eagles, who will be making their fourth T20 World Cup appearance in the upcoming 10th edition.

Namibia retained the majority of their players, who represented them in the previous edition of the mega event in 2024, while Nicol Loftie-Eaton, Louren Steenkamp, JC Balt, WP Myburgh and Max Heingo are set to add fresh depth to their quest.

The African nation booked their spot in the 20-team tournament on the back of a dominant ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Africa Qualifier in Harare, during which they topped Group A by remaining unbeaten.

They backed their dominant group-stage run with an equally impressive showing in the semi-final against Tanzania, winning the high-stakes fixture by 63 runs.

Namibia, slotted in Group A, will start their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against Netherlands on February 10 in Delhi before taking on co-host India at the same venue on February 12, followed by the United States of America (USA) in Chennai on February 15.

They will then travel to Sri Lanka to play their last league-stage fixture against Pakistan, scheduled to be held on February 18.
