The Waterloo community is raising money for a local family that suffered a tragic crash during a family vacation in Kenya.

According to KCRG, the DeLeon family is stuck in Kenya after a crash on Jan. 4 killed two of their children and left another hospitalized in critical condition.

Emmanuel, an eighth-grader at Hoover Middle School, and his younger brother, Kairo, reportedly died at the scene of the crash. Njeri, their older sister, is in an Intensive Care Unit in Kenya. She is a junior at West High.
