ZIMBABWE School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) will release the 2025 Advanced Level examination results Friday at 12 noon, Primary and Secondary Education minister Torerayi Moyo has announced.
Candidates and schools are expected to begin accessing results online shortly after the official release.
In a statement Thursday, Moyo said the release marks a third consecutive year in which national examinations were conducted and concluded without leakages, a claim authorities have repeatedly made after years of scandals that undermined confidence in the examinations system.
“This marks the third consecutive year in which our national examinations have been conducted and concluded without any leakages.
“This is a remarkable achievement that underscores the ministry’s unwavering commitment to upholding the integrity and credibility of our examination systems,” Moyo said.
Moyo also thanked ZIMSEC, teachers and other stakeholders for what he described as a transparent and efficient examination process.
ZIMSEC has in the past been rocked by examination paper leakages, delayed result releases and allegations of corruption, prompting government to overhaul security and administration around national exams.
Moyo said the reforms were aligned to President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030, which places education at the centre of national development, though critics have previously questioned whether policy pronouncements have translated into improved learning conditions in schools grappling with shortages of teachers, textbooks and infrastructure.
