From 3 to 5 November 2025, 32 judicial and legal officers, including judges, magistrates, and other justice sector stakeholders, gathered at the United Nations House in Windhoek for the UNESCO Training on Artificial Intelligence and the Rule of Law. Among the participants were Judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Hosea Angula, and High Court Judge Shafimana Ueitele, who joined the training in exploring how emerging technologies are reshaping the justice landscape.

Over three days, participants engaged in interactive sessions examining the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the judiciary. The training focused on AI adoption, judicial independence, ethical and legal challenges, and cybersecurity as an emerging issue, equipping participants with tools to harness AI’s benefits while mitigating its risks.
