The Cameroon national team has also secured the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Cameroon narrowly defeated South Africa 2-1 to secure a place in the next round.

South Africa initially scored through Lyle Foster, but the goal was disallowed for offside.

It was Junior Tchamadeu who opened the scoring with a goal from close range after a quick move (34′).

Meanwhile, Mahamadou Nagida sealed the victory after a fantastic header from Kofana (47′).

All South Africa did was score a consolation goal through Evidence Makgopa (88′).
