Detectives in Migori and Nairobi are investigating a string of violent incidents that
have left residents on edge.

In Kehancha, Kuria, in Migori county,
police are looking for gunmen who shot and wounded a man and his 10-year-old
daughter during a robbery.

The victims had just closed their
businesses Saturday evening in Kwiriba area, when they were confronted by armed men.

The father was shot in the stomach
while his daughter sustained a gunshot wound to the hand.

The attackers grabbed three mobile
phones used for M-Pesa transactions and fled.

Police suspect the gang had been
tracking the victims from their shop to their home.

Detectives revisited the area on
Sunday and Monday, recovering spent AK-47 cartridges, highlighting concerns
about a possible surge in armed crime in the region.

In Lang’ata, Nairobi,
police are investigating a domestic dispute that ended in tragedy.

A 20-year-old man allegedly stabbed
his father, Joseph Okello, 70, to death over a disagreement regarding the
preparation of ugali. Witnesses said the father questioned his son’s method of
cooking.

The confrontation escalated into
violence when the son allegedly used a knife to stab his father multiple times
in the back and neck, killing him on the spot.

Police report said the suspect fled
immediately and they are pursuing
him .

Adding to the grim events, a man
identified as Richard Wanjiru, 33, died in a fire in Mowlem, Nairobi, early
Sunday morning.

Wanjiru, a member of the street
family, had been sheltering in a house when the fire broke out.

The cause of the blaze is yet to be
determined and authorities have moved the body to the mortuary pending further
investigations.

These incidents, spanning armed
robbery, domestic violence, and accidental death, underscore mounting concerns
over safety and public security.

Police have intensified
investigations, calling for vigilance from residents while pledging to bring
perpetrators to justice.
