Air Europa will operate the route with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Flights will depart Madrid on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, arriving in Johannesburg the following morning. The return flights will depart Johannesburg on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.<\/p>\n<p>Taking Over From Iberia<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Air Europa\u2019s service will not be the first linking Spain and South Africa. Spain\u2019s national carrier, Iberia, previously operated the Madrid-Johannesburg route but <a href=\"https:\/\/airlinegeeks.com\/2019\/04\/08\/iberia-cancels-johanesburg-route\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:suspended it in 2019;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">suspended it in 2019<\/a>, citing low profitability.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Air Europa will launch scheduled flights between Madrid and Johannesburg this year.
