width: 100%;\"\/>A delegation of Principal Secretaries pose for a picture after meeting ODM leader and Siaya Senator Dr Oburu Odinga\/HANDOUT<\/p>\n<p>Health Principal Secretary Dr Ouma Oluga led his&#13;<br \/>\ncounterparts in paying a courtesy call on ODM leader and Siaya Senator Dr Oburu&#13;<br \/>\nOdinga in a show of solidarity with the Odinga family following recent&#13;<br \/>\nbereavements.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was convened to console with the family following&#13;<br \/>\nthe demise of Raila Amolo Odinga and Beryl Odinga.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation of PSs also joined the family in marking what&#13;<br \/>\nwould have been Baba\u2019s 81st birthday, reflecting on his life and contribution&#13;<br \/>\nto Kenya\u2019s political history.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, the delegation said the visit was meant to \u201cexpress solidarity with the Odinga family during this difficult moment,\u201d\u00a0and to stand with them as they commemorated&#13;<br \/>\nthe late statesman\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n<p>Oburu welcomed the delegation and thanked the Principal&#13;<br \/>\nSecretaries for what he described as a thoughtful and respectful gesture.<\/p>\n<p>He used the occasion to offer guidance to the senior&#13;<br \/>\ngovernment officials, urging them to remain focused on their responsibilities&#13;<br \/>\nin public service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDr Oburu Odinga thanked the Principal Secretaries for the&#13;<br \/>\ngesture and offered counsel on the importance of diligence, performance, and&#13;<br \/>\ndelivery of results in the execution of their respective mandates,\u201d the&#13;<br \/>\nstatement said.<\/p>\n<p>He reminded the officials of the expectations placed on them&#13;<br \/>\nas accounting and policy leaders within government, stressing that effective&#13;<br \/>\nservice delivery and accountability were essential to meeting the needs of&#13;<br \/>\nKenyans.<\/p>\n<p>The visit brought together Principal Secretaries drawn from a&#13;<br \/>\nwide range of government departments, underscoring the cross-sectoral nature of&#13;<br \/>\nthe delegation.<\/p>\n<p>Those present included Oluga, Judy Pareno, Principal&#13;<br \/>\nSecretary for Justice, Human Rights and Constitutional Affairs, and Stephen&#13;<br \/>\nIsaboke, EBS, Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications.<\/p>\n<p>Others in attendance were Carren Agengo, Principal Secretary&#13;<br \/>\nfor Children Services; Dr Caroline Karugu, Principal Secretary for East African&#13;<br \/>\nCommunity Affairs; Prof Shaukat Abdulrazak, Principal Secretary for Science,&#13;<br \/>\nResearch and Innovation; and Cyrell Odede, Principal Secretary for Public&#13;<br \/>\nInvestment.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation also included Aden Millah, Principal&#13;<br \/>\nSecretary for Maritime Affairs;
