<\/p>\nThey say a party is only as good as the energy in the air. On Saturday night,\u00a0the Bbosa Hostel courtyard made sure that energy was nothing short of legendary\u00a0as the Smirnoff Fiesta\u00a0reached\u00a0Nkozi.<\/p>\n
From the early evening, the\u00a0ground became\u00a0a Smirnoff Fiesta playground\u00a0in\u00a0a space dedicated to self-expression\u00a0and party. Strangers became teammates over ping pong and foosball, while squads claimed their moment\u00a0with the photo props and photo booths.<\/p>\n

Speaking in\u00a0Nkozi, Smirnoff\u00a0Brand Manager, Raymond Karama said, \u201cIt\u2019s moments like these that remind us why the fiesta keeps raising the bar.\u00a0The energy, the music,\u00a0and the\u00a0crowd\u00a0made this\u00a0all\u00a0theirs. That\u2019s the \u2018We Do We\u2019 spirit in motion.\u201d<\/p>\n
Early birds were treated to a smooth entry into the Fiesta\u00a0spirit as DJ\u00a0Nelly took\u00a0up\u00a0the decks with MC\u00a0Ursh\u00a0Trey handling the hype policy.<\/p>\n
Nkozi\u2019s\u00a0very own\u00a0TrellyOnset\u00a0then\u00a0joined MC\u00a0Ursh\u00a0Trey\u00a0as the home crowd loved every\u00a0moment with Kachumbali\u00a0getting\u00a0some airplay\u00a0as\u00a0the\u00a0party crowd\u00a0danced in formation to celebrate the song by a local icon.<\/p>\n
Revellers\u00a0shared shots of Smirnoff and toasted with\u00a0chilled Smirnoff\u00a0ice; the line between spectator and participant was completely blurred.<\/p>\n
The atmosphere\u00a0peaked\u00a0when Josh MC gave the rallying call for\u00a0\u201cEtania\u2026\u00a0We Wanna Party.\u201d What happened next was pure cinema.<\/p>\n
Hundreds of students who had been watching from the hostel balconies\u00a0(as\u00a0the ultimate VIP section)\u00a0rushed downward in a massive\u00a0wave\u00a0to have a\u00a0closer\u00a0look\u00a0at the star\u00a0who represents\u00a0their collective audacious spark.<\/p>\n
And Etania delivered. For the next hour, her mix mastery was perfectly matched by her footwork and dance routines, but the real show was the crowd\u2019s synergy. The singing in unison\u00a0and\u00a0shared rhythm\u00a0really\u00a0defined the night.<\/p>\n
As Etania left the stage, the crowd took her \u201cno leaving the venue\u201d mantra to heart. DJ Wiz J and Josh Mc\u00a0then\u00a0slid into the driver\u2019s seat and kept the\u00a0party going.<\/p>\n
The night\u00a0energy\u00a0kept popping off well into the early morning with\u00a0giveaways\u00a0to Etania\u2019s upcoming show, \u201cBecoming the Life of the Party.\u201d\u00a0Winners were announced, sending fresh bursts of excitement through the crowd and reminding everyone that the party doesn\u2019t stop here; it just moves to Lugogo on April 4th.<\/p>\n
The fiesta rolled on\u00a0with\u00a0the\u00a0twin\u00a0duo of\u00a0DJ Kibs and MC\u00a0Khurts\u00a0till streaks of daylight started to fall on the grounds.<\/p>\n
With\u00a0one on the decks\u00a0and another\u00a0on the mic, they\u00a0tag-teamed\u00a0the night away and\u00a0proved\u00a0that even the music moves better when you share the load.\u00a0If the wave\u00a0in\u00a0Nkozi\u00a0is any indication,\u00a0Makerere is in for quite the treat\u00a0as the Fiestas return to Kampala\u00a0on the 28th of March.<\/p>\n
