The initiative, funded by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, marks a significant step forward in promoting heritage for sustainable socioeconomic development.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\">The pilot on, \u201cPromoting Entrepreneurship Projects Contributing to Socio Economic Development through Eco Tourism and\/or Interpretation of World Heritage,\u201d is part of UNESCO\u2019s broader continental programme \u201cCreating a Sustainable Heritage Ecosystem for Socioeconomic Development in Africa.\u201d Namibia is one of six African countries participating, alongside Comoros, Gabon, Ghana, Mauritania and Tanzania.
