On Saturday, January 3, Gachagua led several leaders in condoling with Embakasi<\/a> North MP James Gakuya following the death of his mother, Alice Wangari Gakuya.<\/p>\n

Chama Cha Kazi leader Moses Kuria<\/a> stormed out of the burial service, claiming there were plans to attack leaders opposed to the former DP.<\/p>\n

In a harsh tweet, the former Trade cabinet secretary alleged that a plan had been hatched to cause violence on leaders perceived to be opposed to Gachagua.<\/p>\n

Kuria cited the attack on Lamu Women Representative Monicah Muthoni, who was roughed up after shouting tutam.<\/p>\n

“I have just left Makomboki, where I had gone to condole with Hon. James Gakuya as we laid to rest his dear mum, Alice Wangari Gakuya. I left when I learnt of a plot to cause violence against those perceived to be opposed to Rigathi Gachagua. What i did not know is they could go to the extent of assaulting a woman \u2013 Lamu Women Rep Muthoni Marubu. I have asked before whether Jomo Kenyatta, Mwai Kibaki or Uhuru Kenyatta could order violence against women,” Kuria said.<\/p>\n

While using abusive words, Kuria declared political war with Gachagua, stating that the former DP had crossed the red line.<\/p>\n

The former CS further warned presidential aspirants against associating with Gachagua, arguing that such a coalition cannot win in 2027.<\/p>\n

According to Kuria, any political formation in which the former DP will be part of will lose the presidential race in the upcoming poll.<\/p>\n

In other news, Kuria claimed the former DP orchestrated his 2024 dismissal<\/a> from Cabinet Secretary, later justifying it by stating Mt Kenya’s representation remained unchanged.<\/p>\n

During an interview on KTN News, Kuria, who then became a presidential advisor, stated he resigned to preserve his objectivity.<\/p>\n

The former CS further expressed disappointment at Gachagua\u2019s behavior after his resignation.<\/p>\n

Gachagua had accused Ruto<\/a> of backing Kuria’s candidate in the Mbeere North by-election to divide votes. <\/p>\n

Kuria dismissed the United Opposition as a “miserable marriage,” alleging its leaders frequently complain about Gachagua.<\/p>\n
