{"id":150321,"date":"2026-03-24T08:07:31","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T08:07:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/150321\/"},"modified":"2026-03-24T08:07:31","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T08:07:31","slug":"funeral-held-for-former-deputy-who-died-following-a-car-crash-on-angola-prison-grounds-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/150321\/","title":{"rendered":"Funeral held for former deputy who died following a car crash on Angola prison grounds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW ROADS \u2014 The funeral for a former Pointe Coupee Parish deputy who died in a car crash on Angola grounds took place on Monday at the New Life Worship Center in New Roads.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbrz.com\/news\/former-pointe-coupee-deputy-working-at-angola-dies-at-27-after-car-crash-on-prison-grounds\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tyler Grezaffi<\/a>, 27, died in a crash on Wednesday when her vehicle went off the roadway and into a ditch full of water at Angola.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Grezaffi was employed as a Master Sergeant at the Louisiana State Penitentiary at the time of her death.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Although Tyler Grezaffi was at the beginning of her promising career in public safety and corrections, she had already made a significant impact through her previous roles with the Pointe Coupee and Iberville Parish Sheriffs\u2019 Offices,&#8221; DOC Secretary Gary Westcott said.<\/p>\n<p>Grezaffi&#8217;s father, Sgt. Scott Grezaffi also worked at the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Tyler\u2019s commitment not only to our community but also to her fellow officers exemplified the very essence of courage and selflessness.
