{"id":15124,"date":"2026-01-10T11:55:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-10T11:55:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/15124\/"},"modified":"2026-01-10T11:55:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-10T11:55:07","slug":"man-arrested-with-explosives-at-beitbridge-border","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/15124\/","title":{"rendered":"Man arrested with explosives at Beitbridge border"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                                Warning:<\/p>\n<p>This article may contain graphic and\/or adult content unsuitable for minors and sensitive readers.<\/p>\n<p>                                Read the article<\/p>\n<p class=\"post-catagory post-date\">File<\/p>\n<p>Limpopo police said a 39-year-old man was arrested at Beitbridge border post late on Friday night for being in possession of explosives.<\/p>\n<p>Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba said members of the SA National Defence Force, were busy with a routine patrol when they spotted two men carrying large bags.<\/p>\n<p>He said when the men saw the soldiers, they dropped the bags and fled in different directions.<\/p>\n<p>Mashaba said one suspect was, however, apprehended while his accomplice remains at large.<\/p>\n<p>He said a search of the bags revealed explosives, safety fuses and over 120 blasting cartridges.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect, who is a foreign national, is due to appear in the Musina magistrate&#8217;s court on Monday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Warning: This article may contain graphic and\/or adult content unsuitable for minors and sensitive readers.
