{"id":16233,"date":"2026-01-11T01:02:13","date_gmt":"2026-01-11T01:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/16233\/"},"modified":"2026-01-11T01:02:13","modified_gmt":"2026-01-11T01:02:13","slug":"tma-decongests-shops-operating-at-el-paso-lorry-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/16233\/","title":{"rendered":"TMA decongests shops\u00a0operating\u00a0at El Paso lorry station\u202f\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Elizabeth\u00a0Larkwor\u00a0Baah<\/p>\n<p>Tema, Jan. 10, GNA -The Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) has decongested shops\u00a0operating\u00a0within the Community One El Paso Lorry station as part of a broader initiative to\u00a0modernise\u00a0the transport hub and improve the city\u2019s outlook.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The exercise resulted in the removal of several wooden and metal structures that had been erected along walkways and vehicle access routes at the busy lorry station.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mr\u00a0Alfred Ocansey, aide to\u00a0Ms\u00a0Ebi Bright, Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the decongestion formed part of a planned facelift of the metropolis and the construction of a multi-purpose lorry station to enhance safety, order, and commuter comfort, adding that the traders affected by the exercise had been adequately informed ahead of time.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mr\u00a0Ocansey stated that a well-structured and decongested system would be implemented to ensure that a greater number of people could conduct business in an orderly and efficient manner.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe traders were notified of the intended redevelopment last year.
