{"id":16375,"date":"2026-01-11T02:58:16","date_gmt":"2026-01-11T02:58:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/16375\/"},"modified":"2026-01-11T02:58:16","modified_gmt":"2026-01-11T02:58:16","slug":"inequality-resource-exploitation-drive-instability-and-coups-in-africa-cardinal-ambongo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/16375\/","title":{"rendered":"Inequality, Resource Exploitation Drive Instability and Coups in Africa: Cardinal Ambongo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to him, those behind coups are often \u201cpeople who feel frustrated, who feel that the cake is shared between a small elite, a small group, and the majority has no access.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo avoid the coup d\u2019\u00e9tat,\u201d Cardinal Ambongo argued, \u201cwe must return to a system of equitable redistribution of the wealth of our continent,\u201d and to \u201cthe exercise of a power that watches over the rights of one and the other in a fair and just way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the Congolese Cardinal, political life in many countries has become dominated by the quest for power and wealth.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have the impression that more and more in our African countries\u2026 only the will of power matters today,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Local Ordinary of Kinshasa Archdiocese, who also serves as President of the <a href=\"https:\/\/secam.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Symposium of Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar <\/a>(SECAM) added,\u00a0 \u201cThe powerful impose their will on the smallest.
