The penultimate competition in this year\u2019s apparatus world cup series takes place this weekend in Cairo, where a number of leaders in the rankings thus far are expected to compete.<\/p>\n
In the WAG field, Kaylia Nemour<\/a> \u2013 who currently leads beam and is in second place on bars \u2013 will be a highlight here. Without the top Russians in play, she should easily take over the top bars spot, while Teja Belak<\/a> will be looking to bump into the lead on vault.<\/p>\n The current MAG leaders expected to compete here include Yahor Sharamkou of Belarus on floor, Zeinolla Idrissov<\/a> of Kazakhstan on pommel horse, and Angel Barajas<\/a> of Colombia on parallel bars and high bar. On vault, Sebastian Sponevik<\/a> of Norway is currently in second place 15 points behind Nazar Chepurnyi<\/a>, but with Chepurnyi \u2013 who won gold in Cottbus and Baku \u2013 missing the last two competitions, Sponevik could have a shot at taking over. On rings, meanwhile, we should see Artur Avetisyan of Armenia and Eleftherios Petrounias<\/a> of Greece improving their rankings (which are currently fifth and seventh, respectively) to fit into the top three, but neither has enough points at the moment to surpass current leader Nikita Simonov of Azerbaijan, who will not be in Cairo.<\/p>\n The competition will begin with qualifications on April 3 and 4, and you can watch finals live on World Gymnastics TV<\/a> on April 5 and 6. I don\u2019t have a link for live scores yet, but the Egyptian federation is generally quick to post result PDFs on Facebook and Instagram.
