Accra, Jan. 11, GNA \u2013 Eli Ghana Limited has secured an investor partnership to undertake a major housing project for the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), following a recent visit to Ghana by strategic investors.<\/p>\n

Madam Alberta Abi Amartey, the Chief Executive Officer of the company, announced this at a stakeholder engagement meeting, saying the initiative sought to improve accommodation conditions for officers and personnel of the GAF.<\/p>\n

She said the project would deliver 5,008 two-bedroom and three-bedroom residential units across seven main military barracks across the country.<\/p>\n

Madam Amartey noted that construction was expected to commence in February 2026, after the completion of technical assessments, site planning and final investor alignments.<\/p>\n

She said the project would be executed in phases to ensure quality delivery, efficiency and adherence to international construction standards.<\/p>\n

The housing units, she added, would be designed to meet the functional and family needs of military personnel, with emphasis on durability, safety and comfort.<\/p>\n

Eli Ghana Limited, a wholly Ghanaian-owned company, currently operates in logistics, quarry services and hardware supply, and is expanding into real estate and construction.<\/p>\n

Madam Amartey said the expansion was aimed at supporting government and institutional housing needs, particularly within the defence and security sectors.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur entry into real estate construction is backed by strong partnerships, technical expertise and a clear vision to contribute meaningfully to Ghana\u2019s development agenda,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Mr Tarek Choufani, Managing Director of Sinoam Fund, the investor for the Ministry of Defence housing project, said his company was hopeful of finalising the agreement to proceed with the investment.<\/p>\n

He said Sinoam Fund was considering an initial investment of 50 million dollars, with plans to increase the amount in subsequent phases to meet the agreed number of housing units.<\/p>\n

Mr Choufani said the company was committed to providing the required capital to ensure the project progressed from inception to completion, in line with the conditions of the Ministry of Defence.<\/p>\n

He also announced the company\u2019s intention to invest in energy infrastructure to support growth and logistics, as well as in social infrastructure in the areas of education and health.<\/p>\n

Brigadier-General Benjamin Amoah-Boakye, Acting Judge Advocate General of the Ghana Armed Forces, representing the Ministry of Defence, said the collaboration with the investors would be finalised after detailed discussions on the housing arrangements.<\/p>\n

He said the engagement formed part of government efforts to address accommodation deficits and other infrastructural challenges within the military.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs they have arrived, serious discussions will commence from Monday, and the details will be finalised. In due course, the public will be informed of the full arrangement.\u201d Brigadier-General Amoah-Boakye said.<\/p>\n

Eli Ghana Limited reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with relevant state institutions, technical partners and community stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the project.<\/p>\n

When completed, the project is expected to enhance the welfare and morale of GAF personnel, reduce accommodation deficits within military barracks, create employment opportunities during construction, and stimulate local supply chains, particularly in building materials and logistics.<\/p>\n
