They lost their opening game to Nigeria but drew with Uganda and Tunisia. Later in the evening they confirmed their progress in a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CAF_Online\/status\/2006115981752418661\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">social media post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t have enough time to prepare the team, but we worked together with the management and federation and feel very proud,\u201d Miguel Gamondi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cafonline.com\/afcon2025\/news\/tanzania-hold-tunisia-to-earn-crucial-draw-and-keep-their-totalenergies-afcon-morocco-2025-hopes-alive\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a>. \u201cNot just for myself but for the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to change this mentality of underdogs. To qualify is a great learning for Tanzania who must be proud.
