{"id":194385,"date":"2026-04-19T07:04:11","date_gmt":"2026-04-19T07:04:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/194385\/"},"modified":"2026-04-19T07:04:11","modified_gmt":"2026-04-19T07:04:11","slug":"nigeria-to-deploy-200-special-forces-to-turkiye-for-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/194385\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria to deploy 200 special forces to T\u00fcrkiye for training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, has said that Nigeria and T\u00fcrkiye have reached an agreement for the immediate deployment of 200 Nigerian Special Forces for training in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Musa disclosed this in an interview on the sidelines of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2026) in Antalya, T\u00fcrkiye, on Saturday, following discussions with his Turkish counterpart, Yasar Guler.<\/p>\n<p>The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the three-day forum, themed \u201cMapping Tomorrow, Managing Uncertainties,\u201d which started on Friday, is attended by world leaders, ministers, and diplomats, among others.<\/p>\n<p>The minister explained that following the agreement, T\u00fcrkiye had allocated a training quota of 200 personnel from Nigeria\u2019s Special Forces, who will be immediately deployed when the minister returns to Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a Special Forces training agreement. T\u00fcrkiye has agreed to give us 200 Special Forces training, so as soon as I return, we are sending them here for training.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/whatsapp.com\/channel\/0029Va8KucvJpe8eFOl3En22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-810513 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1776582251_648_PT-WHATSAPP-CHANNEL-copy.webp\" alt=\"PT WHATSAPP CHANNEL\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will continue to do a lot. There will be exercises. The first exercise is coming up later in the year.
