{"id":20164,"date":"2026-01-13T06:35:06","date_gmt":"2026-01-13T06:35:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/20164\/"},"modified":"2026-01-13T06:35:06","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T06:35:06","slug":"kenya-to-be-affected-as-trump-announces-25-tariff-on-countries-trading-with-iran","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/20164\/","title":{"rendered":"Kenya to be Affected as Trump Announces 25% Tariff on Countries Trading With Iran"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kenya has once again suffered a major setback after the United States President Donald Trump announced a 25 per cent tariff on countries trading with Iran.<\/p>\n<p>President Trump on Monday, January 12, announced a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kenyans.co.ke\/news\/119637-kenyan-ngos-affected-after-us-pulls-out-66-global-agencies\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> 25 per cent tariff on any country trading with Iran<\/a>, following the country&#8217;s violent crackdown on the anti-government protesters.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Effective immediately, any country doing business with the Islamic Republic of Iran will pay a tariff of 25 per cent on any business being done with the U.S. This Order is final and conclusive,&#8221;
