Police are investigating the killing of a 40-year-old woman who was
\nfound dead in her compound after a domestic dispute in Illeret village,
\nMarsabit County.<\/p>\n
Police identified her as Rufo Lorus. The body had visible injuries on the
\nhead when it was discovered in her manyatta.<\/p>\n
Police said she had been missing for a day before the body was
\ndiscovered. <\/p>\n
Her husband was later arrested as a person of interest in the murder
\npending further probe, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary
\npending an autopsy and other procedures on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
The motive of the murder was not established. The incident prompted
\ntension in the area as authorities assured locals of justice in the murder.<\/p>\n
In Kathwana, Machakos County, one Jerom Matheka was found dead in a house
\nafter a feud between him and an assailant who was arrested.<\/p>\n
The deceased was a spanner boy, while the assailant was a mechanic. They lived
\ntogether.<\/p>\n
They fought in the house before the assailant stabbed Matheka in the
\nchest fatally.<\/p>\n
The body was moved to the mortuary pending a postmortem, while the assailant
\nwas expected in court to face murder charges, police said.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere in Ahero, Kisumu County, a suspect surrendered to the police
\nover a murder incident.<\/p>\n
The suspect was linked to the murder of Joshua Orera, 51, in the area on
\nSaturday. The suspect surrendered to Katitu police station pending processing.
\nThe body of the victim was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other
\nprocedures, police said.<\/p>\n
In Yala, Siaya County, a man died after being attacked by cattle thieves.
\nPolice said David Demba, 53 succumbed to his injuries he sustained while
\npursuing a gang of thieves that had raided their home and stolen cows in Sidada
\nvillage.<\/p>\n
Police said they are pursuing the assailants.<\/p>\n

In Homa Bay\u2019s Mbita area, the body of a man was found in a thicket in
\nGera village after a suspected murder.<\/p>\n

In Kehancha, Migori County, one Mara Wankanda, 47, was killed by unknown
\nassailants in an attack.<\/p>\n
Police said the Saturday night incident happened in the Masaba area, and
\nthe motive of the same is yet to be established.<\/p>\n
