On Tuesday, January 13, the Ministry of Education, through the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), announced that the 2025 KPSEA and KILEA performance reports are ready.<\/p>\n
What is KPSEA? <\/p>\n
KPSEA is a national exam for Grade 6 learners<\/a> in Kenya, replacing the old KCPE under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).<\/p>\n Search option is now available at TUKO! It assesses skills and competencies as learners transition from primary to junior secondary.<\/p>\n Read also<\/p>\n KNEC opens online training for senior school teachers on CBA, shares steps to access portal<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n With a significant policy shift, the examination council said KPSEA is now a monitoring tool rather than a placement exam, unlike the newer KJSEA for Grade 9. <\/p>\n KPSEA is organised in two parts: formative and summative tests, where formative assessment is a continuous evaluation by teachers during Grades 4, 5, and 6.<\/p>\n Formative assessment accounts for 60% of the final score, whereas summative assessment is a national assessment conducted at the end of Grade 6 by KNEC, contributing 40% to the final score.<\/p>\n How to check 2025 KPSEA, KILEA exam result<\/p>\n In the statement, the examination council learners can check their individual performance by visiting https:\/\/kpsea.knec.ac.ke<\/a>.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, KNEC advised KILEA candidates to collect their performance reports directly from their respective schools.<\/p>\n The examination council stated that schools can also access individual learner performance reports on the CBA portal at https:\/\/cba.knec.ac.ke<\/a>.<\/p>\n The steps below explain how KPSEA candidates can check their results online, while KILEA candidates are guided on where to obtain their official reports.<\/p>\n 1. Enter the candidate\u2019s assessment number and at least one registered name in the required fields.<\/p>\n 3. Accept the privacy and access notice displayed on the portal. Proceed to search and view the performance report<\/p>\n 4.
