There were scenes of celebration in Soweto as learners from Diepsloot Secondary School Class of 2025 received their exam results.<\/p>\n
The school recorded its highest pass rate since its was founded in 2012, with a 100 percent pass rate.<\/p>\n
Speaking to EWN, some learners say they achieved more then they expected, especially coming from an area where they have many challenges.<\/p>\n
This learner had high praise for the teachers.<\/p>\n
“The teachers at DS3 are very very good at their job, but they also learned a skill to connect with learners. And to guide them through the emotional journey, because as much as results matter, your mental health also does matter.”<\/p>\n
Another pupil also expressed gratitude to his teachers.<\/p>\n
“I like to say thank you very much to my teachers. I am very grateful and short of words.
