{"id":22212,"date":"2026-01-14T05:44:11","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T05:44:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/22212\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T05:44:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T05:44:11","slug":"nigeria-navy-hands-over-seized-rice-to-customs-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/22212\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria Navy Hands Over Seized Rice to Customs Service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/von.gov.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG-20260113-WA0239.jpg\" data-caption=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG-20260113-WA0239-696x522.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"IMG-20260113-WA0239\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Nigeria Navy has handed over more than three hundred bags of foreign parboiled rice to the Nigeria Customs Service, following successful anti-smuggling operations along the Nigeria-Benin Republic borders.<\/p>\n<p>This is in furtherance of the Nigerian Navy\u2019s mandate to support civil authorities in combating smuggling and other cross-border economic crimes.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-511941\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG-20260113-WA0238.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"810\" height=\"1080\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>In a press release signed by Navy Captain Busuyi Omotayo, the Commanding Officer, Nigerian Navy Forward Operating Base Badagry said, \u201cin line with Nigerian Navy Standard Operating Procedures, the Base handed over 372 (50kg) bags of foreign parboiled rice.
