The Chairman of the Ojodu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Mr. Segun Odunmbaku, has reaffirmed his administration\u2019s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery through collaboration with the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board.<\/p>\n
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, Odunmbaku made the pledge on Monday while participating in a high-level Primary Health Care Policy Dialogue organised by the state board at the Sheraton Hotels, Lagos.<\/p>\n
The event, themed \u201cStrengthening Primary Health Care System: A Joint Leadership Dialogue,\u201d brought together key stakeholders in the health sector to deliberate on improving service delivery at the grassroots.<\/p>\n
Odunmbaku said his administration had invested significantly in the rehabilitation and upgrading of primary healthcare centres within the council, noting that over 600 surgeries had been successfully conducted, medical records digitalised, and modern medical equipment provided.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are committed to sustaining the existing collaboration with the state government and relevant partners to ensure accessible and quality healthcare for our residents,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Also speaking at the event, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, said the state government had adopted a comprehensive approach to addressing gaps in PHC operations, financing, technology, data systems and workforce development.<\/p>\n
Other dignitaries in attendance included the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Dr. Kemi Ogunyemi, and the Director of Medical Services and Disease Control at the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Veronica Iwayemi.<\/p>\n
