Our athletes are motivated, focused and proud to represent the nation,\u201d Uganda Athletics said in a statement. \u201cEyes on the prize, hearts for the nation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kiplimo, a former world cross country champion and multiple world record holder, will lead a strong senior men\u2019s team that includes Dolphine Chelimo, Dan Kibet, Emmanuel Kibet, Keneth Kiprop and Deogracius Musobo.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-125869\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/608724611_1275186201297623_1452509586714555335_n-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>In the senior women\u2019s race, Uganda will be represented by Sarah Chelangat, Rebecca Chelangat, Kereen Chemusto, Martha Chemutai, Joy Cheptoyek and Rispa Cherop, a blend of experienced performers and emerging talent.<\/p>\n<p>Uganda has also named competitive under-20 squads, reflecting continued investment in youth development.
