For this reason, the government decided to switch to a new model.<\/p>\n<p>Crist\u00f3v\u00e3o noted that under the new approach, the state provides water, energy and other communal infrastructure, while the private sector carries out the construction of residential buildings.<\/p>\n<p>She stated that the construction of social housing for low-income families will continue, while new projects for teachers, doctors and other middle-income citizens will be implemented within the framework of public-private partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>According to the state secretary, Luanda\u2019s population currently exceeds 10 million and is expected to reach 20 million in the future.
