A decision on whether the CCTV footage, capturing the murder of Warrick Stock popularly known as DJ Warras should be brought to court will be made on Thursday afternoon.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This, as the man accused of orchestrating Stock’s murder continues his bid for bail in the Johannesburg magistrates’ court.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Soweto taxi boss, Victor Majola, is charged with conspiracy to commit murder and premeditated murder.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The media personality was shot and killed in Johannesburg\u2019s CBD on 16 December.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, Majola’s attorney, Dumisani Mabunda, made an application to have the CCTV footage, showing the moments leading up to Stock’s murder, brought to court.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This, after it was alleged that Majola, is seen in the footage, together with the unidentified gunman, loitering around Von Wielligh Street in Johannesburg\u2019s CBD about 45 minutes before Stock was gunned down.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Mabunda and senior state prosecutor Vincent Mochabela argued over whether the court should order the footage to be brought before it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Mochabela claims that the footage is at the South African Police Service’s forensic lab in Pretoria and not readily available.\u00a0<\/p>\n
