Police say the suspects will appear before Polokwane Magistrate\u2019s Court tomorrow (January 16), on murder charges.<\/p>\n<p>January 14, 16:00<\/p>\n<p>POLOKWANE\u00a0\u2013 A 47-year-old Zimbabwean man was found fatally stabbed in his vehicle on a gravel road in Ivydale on Tuesday (January 13), leading to the arrest of a suspect who had been assaulted by community members.<\/p>\n<p>Victim found stabbed in parked vehicle<\/p>\n<p>Police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba says police were called to the scene, where they discovered the victim, identified as Philip Mabusha, in the driver\u2019s seat of his car with stab wounds to his upper body. Emergency services declared him dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>A preliminary reports suggest the victim was called to meet someone at the location before he was attacked.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-648119\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Screenshot-2026-01-14-160044-520x346.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"520\" height=\"346\"\/>Members of the Westenburg police and forensic pathology services respond to the scene where a man was reportedly stabbed to death in End Street, Ivydale.<br \/>\nSuspect assaulted by community members<\/p>\n<p>Following the stabbing, community members apprehended a suspect, assaulted him, and then alerted the police.<\/p>\n<p>The injured suspect was taken to hospital for treatment and is under police guard.
