It is creating jobs for our youth, opening doors for entrepreneurs, empowering creatives and fuelling a fast-growing industry of content creators who are telling Ghana’s story in fresh and compelling ways,” she said.

She explained that the authority is intentionally focused on harnessing this momentum by supporting talent, raising standards and ensuring that tourism growth remains inclusive.

“That is why we are positioning Ghana not just as a December destination but as an all-year tourism powerhouse,” she added.

The GTA CEO also highlighted the growing global appreciation of Ghana’s culture, fashion, music, cuisine and heritage, noting that visitors are increasingly drawn to authentic cultural experiences rather than events alone.

“Today, the world is not only coming to Ghana for events; they are coming to experience our culture, fashion, culinary offerings and our people,” she stated.

She also called on the media to play a responsible role in shaping Ghana’s tourism narrative, urging journalists to tell balanced stories that reflect the country’s positive image without descending into propaganda.

“We are not asking the media to do public relations or propaganda for the Authority. However, in writing about Ghana’s tourism, we must be mindful to present well-balanced stories and avoid narratives that unfairly skew the image of our country,” she said.

The media engagement was attended by key members of GTA management, including Deputy CEO in charge of Operations, Ekow Sampson; Deputy CEO for General Services, Bernard Anane Nsiah; and Deputy CEO for Marketing and Special Duties, Abeiku Aggrey Santana.

ID/AE

Watch the latest episode of Talkertainment below:

Maame Efua Houadjeto is the CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana…

[28
79
0":"post-25813","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-ghana","8":"tag-ghana
["GET
