Instagram: @EddyDove22, Facebook: @EddyDoveAfrica<\/p>\n<p>Holders <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"f7d2447d-dbb0-74f6-3ca1-2feb29f4cd4c\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/football\/team?id=2761\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nigeria<\/a> learned their Women&#8217;s Africa Cup of Nations 2026 group-stage opponents on Thursday, with the Super Falcons set to renew acquaintances with <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"c6a866d5-f185-3777-9738-a52443bca298\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/football\/team?id=20795\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Zambia<\/a> in the opening round of the expanded tournament, set to begin in <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"5ffb8564-d704-3fed-970f-0d0e97750edc\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/football\/team?id=18221\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Morocco<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n<p>Justin Madugu&#8217;s side must also face Egypt and Malawi, taking part in their first WAFCON, in Group C, while the hosts have a mouth-watering derby against Algeria to look forward to.<\/p>\n<p>Morocco look to get their hands on a first women&#8217;s title having been defeated finalists last time out.<\/p>\n<p>Editor&#8217;s Picks<\/p>\n<p>2 Related<\/p>\n<p>Nigeria&#8217;s meeting with Zambia, however, is comfortably the standout match-up of the group stage, with the pair having crossed paths in the quarterfinal of last year&#8217;s tournament en route to the Falcons&#8217; record-extending 10th title.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being billed as a close encounter between the tournament favourites and Zambia&#8217;s fearsome Bandananji strike force of <a data-player-guid=\"af678077-b30d-3d1c-9025-ddbd57364f43\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/player\/_\/id\/310645\/barbra-banda\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Barbra Banda<\/a> and <a data-player-guid=\"12aeba6a-16c2-300d-8f80-bfe44e12e2de\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/player\/_\/id\/310652\/racheal-kundananji\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Racheal Kundananji<\/a>, Nigeria ran riot, stunning the Copper Queens in a 5-0 rout.<\/p>\n<p>The two teams will once again meet at the same venue &#8212; the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca &#8212; when they face off in the group stage this time around.<\/p>\n<p>Madugu&#8217;s team will be favourites once again to win the first ever 16-team WAFCON, with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) deciding during the qualifying campaign to allocate places to four extra teams for the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Morocco, still overseen by Jorge Vilda &#8212; a Women&#8217;s World Cup winner with <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"b40064c7-ecaa-338f-74a8-a3eb43071ec3\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/football\/team?id=17640\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Spain<\/a> in 2023 &#8212; appear well placed to challenge the Falcons once again, having led 2-0 in July&#8217;s final in Rabat before a second-half comeback from Nigeria extended the North Africans&#8217; wait for a first ever continental crown.<\/p>\n<p>As well as Algeria, they will meet Kenya and <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"cf0a778b-8b60-362b-8c78-d4070c4ca9e3\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/football\/team?id=21823\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Senegal<\/a>, quarterfinalists last time out, in Group A.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\" lazyload lazyload\" data-image-container=\".inline-photo\" height=\"320\" width=\"570\"\/>Nigeria&#8217;s players celebrate with the trophy after winning their 10th Women&#8217;s Africa Cup of Nations title.\u00a0ABDEL MAJID BZIOUAT\/AFP via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, 2022 champions <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"ead62abc-684b-7e09-07bc-7ab7e0468513\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/football\/team?id=13313\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">South Africa<\/a> will be favourites to advance ahead of Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Tanzania from Group B, while <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"67fb1c90-f75f-db86-166b-ac151ce79ede\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/football\/team?id=2757\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ghana<\/a>, <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"72211de3-a1a1-3cf7-1b72-b128143a1b66\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/football\/team?id=13310\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cameroon<\/a>, Mali and Cape Verde will contest Group D.<\/p>\n<p>As well as the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, three other stadiums currently in use at the men&#8217;s Africa Cup of Nations &#8212;
