Firefighters from the Albertina Sisulu Corridor were immediately dispatched to the scene,\u201d said spokesperson Tikkie MacDonald.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"670\" data-end=\"942\">On arrival, emergency crews found two trucks involved in a high-impact collision.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"670\" data-end=\"942\">\u201cPreliminary information suggests that the driver of one truck had suffered a mechanical breakdown and was attempting to repair the vehicle when a second truck collided with it from behind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\" data-start=\"670\" data-end=\"942\">Also read:\u00a0F<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citizen.co.za\/kempton-express\/news-headlines\/local-news\/2025\/10\/26\/fatal-crash-at-elgin-and-great-north-roads\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">atal crash at Elgin and Great North roads<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"944\" data-end=\"1253\">\u201cThe individual who was working on the stationary truck sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene,\u201d said MacDonald.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"944\" data-end=\"1253\">\u201cThe driver of the second truck was treated on-site for moderate injuries by Gauteng Emergency Medical Services before being transported to a nearby hospital in Tembisa for further medical care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1255\" data-end=\"1419\">Rescue teams secured the scene to ensure the safety of other motorists.
