{"id":2804,"date":"2026-01-04T13:31:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-04T13:31:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/2804\/"},"modified":"2026-01-04T13:31:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-04T13:31:07","slug":"tanzania-promises-bigger-bonus-if-taifa-stars-overcome-morocco-in-afcon-last-16-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/2804\/","title":{"rendered":"Tanzania Promises Bigger Bonus if Taifa Stars Overcome Morocco in AFCON Last-16 Game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rabat \u2013 Tanzania has increased motivation for the Taifa Stars ahead of their Round of 16 game against Morocco as part of AFCON 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Daily News <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/dailynews.co.tz\/dr-samia-rewards-taifa-stars-500m-for-qualifying-for-the-round-of-16\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">reported<\/a> that President Samia Suluhu Hassan promised the team an even bigger reward if the squad reaches the quarter-finals.<\/p>\n<p>The news outlet said that the Tanzania players had already received around $201,822\u00a0 for qualifying for the Round of 16.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe reward was announced by Prime Minister Mwigulu Nchemba during a phone call with the players and the technical bench, when they were visited by the Deputy Minister for Information, Culture, Arts, and Sports, Paul Makonda,\u201d the news outlet said.<\/p>\n<p>The president promised a bigger reward if the Taifa stars secure a win over Morocco to qualify for the quarterfinals.<\/p>\n<p>Tanzania will face host Morocco today at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. The game will kick off at 5 p.m. Moroccan time.<\/p>\n<p>Historically, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.moroccoworldnews.com\/2026\/01\/273832\/morocco-vs-tanzania-how-and-when-to-watch-the-round-of-16-decisive-game\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Morocco<\/a> dominated matches against Tanzania.
