{"id":296802,"date":"2026-06-22T17:32:16","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T17:32:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/296802\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T17:32:16","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T17:32:16","slug":"i-wanted-a-party-that-hates-ramaphosa-malesela-teffo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/296802\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;I wanted a party that hates Ramaphosa&#8217; &#8211; Malesela Teffo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/916d778c9011481098545646502a588f.jpeg\" alt=\"Disbarred advocate Malesela Teffo says he has found a new political home in ActionSA. \" height=\"1600\" width=\"900\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n                    Disbarred advocate Malesela Teffo says he has found a new political home in ActionSA. &#13;\n                <\/p>\n<p>DISBARRED advocate Malesela Teffo says he&#8217;s found a new political home in ActionSA.<\/p>\n<p>This after a turbulent political journey that saw him leave the PAC, the EFF and the MK party.<\/p>\n<p>Teffo, who became a household name during the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, confirmed he recently joined ActionSA, describing it as one that &#8220;opposes President Cyril Ramaphosa and the ANC&#8221; while still putting South Africans first.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about his political journey, Teffo said he grew up in a PAC-supporting family but became disillusioned with the party\u2019s current leadership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOriginally at my home, we&#8217;re PAC, and I personally left it because the new leadership sold their souls to the GNU,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Teffo later joined the EFF but said his relationship with the party soured after EFF leader Julius Malema allegedly made remarks about him relating to the Senzo Meyiwa case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI left after Malema uttered the nonsensical and reckless statement about me in relation to the Senzo Meyiwa case,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>ALSO READ:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.snl24.com\/dailysun\/celebs\/jub-jub-denies-firearm-allegations-as-case-returns-to-germiston-court-20260622\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">WATCH | Jub Jub: The truth shall prevail<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Teffo said he then joined the MK party while he was in jail, hoping he would receive support amid what he described as &#8220;harassment&#8221; from the ANC and the DA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI joined the MK party while I was in jail, thinking I&#8217;d be helped as the ANC and the DA were harassing me and no protection came from them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former advocate said he was persuaded to join ActionSA by someone he had known for a long time and believes he made the right choice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m convinced I didn\u2019t join the wrong party and the determination of ActionSA president Herman Mashaba is there for anyone to see,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Teffo praised Mashaba\u2019s leadership and said his decision was influenced by the party\u2019s stance against the ANC-led government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to join a political party that hates Ramaphosa and ANC but loves the people of the Republic of South Africa. Mr Mashaba loves this country and her people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Despite his high-profile public image, Teffo said he joined ActionSA as an ordinary member and isn&#8217;t expecting special treatment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;ve joined the party like any other ordinary citizen of the Republic of South Africa.
