NINE suspects believed to be members of the notorious Ugly American\u2019s gang who allegedly carried out a reign of terror for two decades on the communities of Mitchells Plain, Athlone and Table View, have finally been stopped in their tracks.<\/p>\n
Igshaan Abrahams, Zainoedien Greeff, Emilio Young, Shuaib Daniels, Shiraaj Hendricks, Paul Solomon, Elton Jonkers, Jerome Hoffman and Muneeb Solomons have been arrested and now face a mammoth court case.<\/p>\n
Daily Voice\u2019s sister paper, Cape Argus, reported that a volle 71 charges have been brought against them. This includes murder, attempted murder, unlawful possession and drug dealing.\u00a0<\/p>\n
They appeared in the Mitchells Plain Magistrate\u2019s Court on Friday, 3 July. The court heard that ten others are still being sought. The State indicated that once the ten others were arrested, one formal bail application would take place on 21 July, 2026.<\/p>\n
According to court documents, the gang\u2019s criminal activities extend from October 2002 until December 2025.<\/p>\n
Igshaan Abrahams, Zainoedeen Greef and Paul Solomon are no strangers to the court or media.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The trio are part of a group believed to be behind the murder of Cape Town dad, Malcolm Pather, who was burnt beyond recognition in Melkbosstrand in July 2025.<\/p>\n
The case is back on the roll on 16 July at the Atlantis Magistrate\u2019s Court.<\/p>\n
